My skin care routine | Summer

I think it's about time I let you all In on my skincare routine, before I indulge you all on the products I use, I'll go over my skin type and experiences! During the summer time my skin is pretty normal, sometimes a little dehydrated but no way as dry as it is during the Winter. As you guessed I have normal to dry skin with very minimal spots, I only get a few pimples here and there on a rare basis. I'm pretty sure I've found the perfect skin care combo with all these products to keep my skin looking plump and feeling sillky!

Morning -
In the morning as I groggily get up I like to take a large cotton round and my Garnier miceller water to wake up and tone my face, if my skin is looking a little rubbishy then I will quickly cleanse with my No7 Beautiful skin cleansing balm before hand. And then moisturise my face and decolatage with the Boots traditional moisture cream with A & E vitamins, to prep my face ready for makeup application. Another trick I use to keep my skin looking and feeling beautiful is having a large glass of ice water at night and drinking anything I have left over in the morning.

Night -
Removing my makeup is probably the most satisfying feeling you ever have, and I like to make sure I go to sleep with no ounce of makeup on what so ever. I start of with once again taking a cotton round and my Garnier miceller water to remove my eye makeup and face makeup, I then again take my No7 beautiful skin cleansing balm (for dry skin) to get rid of any excess makeup, sebum and dirt left on my skin. Usually by this time my face is feeling clean but I like to go one step further at treat my face with the Emma Hardie cleansing balm and expensive luxury product that does my skin wonders. I end up massaging that on and the vaporising my face with a warm/hot cloth to open up my pores to let my moisturiser sink in. I then use my no supprise Boots traditional moisturizing cream to hydrate my skin.

Now if on the rare occasion I do see a spot pop up I will treat it straight away by applying a little drop of pure Tea tree oil to dry it out and make it heel much faster!

I know I don't use a whole lot of products but I feel I've found a good combo of things that my skin just loves!

July favourites!

So it's come to that time of the month again where I share my highs and lows, best and worst, hits and misses of my month. And boy do I have some hook-line-and-sinkers for July! Not only was the weather absolutely gorgeous but my skin and my happiness is on the rise! I'm betting that the sun and my boyfriend did the majority of that work! Most of my time has been mainly spent on Pintertest when I'm not at work (follow me here) which gives me lots of home decor ideas and most shamefully Christmas diy's. Guess it's never too early to start! Now onto my main loves!

Not too many this month, but some have been multi functional, ie spot the real techniques brushes!

No doubt there would have been a makeup brush or two in my faves! These two are my current obsessions, the buffing brush and contour brush which can both be found in the Core collection for £21.99 which includes two other brushes which you can buy here or from your local Boots store!

Another one of my obsessions has no supprise been the Harry Potter books, I'm currently starting to read them in order and I'm about half way through the Chamber of Secrets, if you know me well, this will come as no supprise to you as Harry Potter is practically my life! Can be bought cheaply on EBay or in your local bookshop! RRP: between £5 and £10.

Moving on to makeup and skin care, my face has been practically melting I'm this heat so light to medium coverage foundation is perfect for me, I'm in love with the Loreal Infallible 24h In the lightest shade 015 Porcelain (supprise, supprise!!) I blend it with my Real Tecniques Buffing brush and they are a perfect duo, this is now my third bottle! RRP: £9.99 Buy here.

Another love for the summer is long fluttery eyelashes without actually wearing falsies, and to achieve that I skeptically bought the Maybelline Illegal length mascara and it supprised me! The length it gave was fenomanal and for only £8.99 you can't go wrong, buy here.

Last but certainly not least at the end of the day when everything's all said and done, it's time to remove the glob of makeup and my number 1 cleanser is the No7 a Beautiful skin cleansing balm for dry skin. Beautiful smelling product that makes your skin feel so plump and hydrated. During the summer weather, I do have pretty normal skin (dry in the winter) but this makes my skin a whole lot plumper than the normal one. And with the Boots £5 skin voucher you commonly get I believe you can pick this baby up for around £6.00, buy here!!! Now I'm just hunting for a inexpensive cleansing brush... Off online shopping I go!

Thanks for reading,
If you could recommend a electronic, inexpensive cleansing brush, let me know!

Manicure Mondays | Simple Summer

Sometimes just a simple bold colour is enough to get me in the mood for summer, lately I have pushed my pastels aside and gone for more bright bold colours that just make my nails look healthy and glossy. One of my current fave polishes is the Sally Hanson salon complete manicure in Shrimply Devine 520 (rough name) beautiful colour. It's a very bright almost neon medium pink with red undertones. Two coats of this bad boy, and it's completely opaque, you could even get away with one! As usual I applied my amazing top coat Save the nail by Nails inc wet look top coat as my sealer and it's usually doesn't start to chip for a good week and a half! Not only that but it has beaten Seche Viet as my #1 top coat!

I love the bright and glossy combo of this, and it's deffinatly a colour I will be wearing a lot more until autumn arrives and I can rock out my dark shades!
